COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

School in Kansas City, Kansas

On June 26th, our firm spent the afternoon volunteering our time at the Community Christian Academy in Kansas City, Kansas. We helped clean and scrape windows to be repainted in preparation of the school’s grand opening for August 2021. Our very own Teresa Christopher is on the school’s Board and teaches art at the school. Our firm is always looking for ways to give back to our community, and we would love to hear your recommendations for places we can volunteer our time!

WYANDOTTE POWERS OF ATTORNEY CLINIC

On September 17th and 24th, our firm successfully implemented our first pro bono Power of Attorneys Clinic for Wyandotte County. Our Attorneys met with participants to discuss the need for a Property and Healthcare Power of Attorney. We discussed the need to name agents if they should unexpectedly become incapacitated and unable to make those decisions. The conversations are never easy, but all participants were very thankful to have both documents completed. We were especially thankful to the Bridge of Hope Community Church for opening their doors and allowing us to hold our Clinic at their location. The experience was truly humbling, and we hope to help more families during our next clinic.
